Caribbean Stud Poker
Caribbean Stud Poker
is a variant of traditional poker.
The
game is played with a deck of 52 cards and each player is dealt 5
cards face down, whereas the bank is dealt 4 cards face down and the
5th face up.
Up to 7 players can sit at the table and the places
are marked with an “Ante” square.
When the cards have been dealt to the players (no more than one player per square) they can decide whether to raise by doubling the original stake on the Bet square or fold by placing their cards on the Bet square and losing their Ante stake.
When all the players have played their hands the banker’s cards are turned over. To qualify to compare hands with those of the other players left in the game the bank must have an Ace and King or higher.
If the bank has a lower score than
this the steward pays at evens (1 to 1) all the stakes on the Ante
squares belonging to players who have doubled their Bets.
If, however, the
bank does qualify (with at least an Ace and a King) all the stakes
belonging to hands with a lower score will be raked in, whereas those
with a higher score will be paid out as follows:
Ante stakes are paid 1 to 1, whereas Bet wins depend on the following table:

If the banker’s
cards are the same as the player’s the 3rd card decides who wins
and so on.
The suit has no
value whatsoever and if the banker’s
cards are the same as the player’s then the hand is tied.
A
card can be changed by paying the same
amount as the stake on the ante.
Progressive Jackpot
To qualify for the progressive jackpot players must place a 2 CHF chip in the appropriate area in front of them and make sure that when the chip has been played the indicator light turns on. If the banker does not qualify to play it is the player’s responsibility to inform them of their winning combination before the cards are raked in. These wins are paid out according to the following table:
